CONSISTENCY & PERSISTENCE: TWO SIDES OF THE SAME COIN

“A river cuts through rock not because of its power, but because of its persistence.” Jim Watkins Consistency means doing something the same way over time whereas Persistency means continuing something in spite of all the challenges and difficulties. There's a lot of talk these days about the importance of being consistent with your fitness routine. And for good reason! Consistency is key to seeing results. But what if you're struggling to find the time or motivation to stick to a routine? Here are a few tips that might help... First, find an activity that you enjoy and can see yourself doing regularly. If you don't like running, for example, it's going to be tough to make it a habit. Try something different until you find something that clicks. Second, make a schedule and stick to it. You're more likely to follow through if you have specific times set aside each week for your workouts. Finally, don't be too hard on yourself if you miss a day or two. Just pick up where you left off and keep going! The bottom line is that consistency is key, so keep at it and you'll see results in no time!
